A History of Experience

From ground up, Landmark Construction has been built from a wealth of experience.  Being family owned from the beginning, our company has been well tuned and learned by family members along the way. Landmark Construction originally being Fred Mixson’s Construction Company, was formed in 1965 by Fredrick Mixson.  Evolving over the years, Landmark Construction was incorporated in 1980 and now currently employs over one hundred and fifty employees. 

Ann Mixson, his wife and Chairman, has been an integral part of the successes of Landmark throughout the years.  Wanting to follow in his father’s footsteps, son Rick Mixson, started working in the field at age fifteen.  Since then, he has worked his way up the ladder assuming the role of President. Cynthia Mixson, their daughter, joined the family in 1983 and is now Vice President of Accounting and Contracts.  Together the Mixsons are a family driven by purpose and success.  

We are only as good as the employees and staff that comprise our team at Landmark Construction.  Our employees are purposefully hired with construction experience and the ability to train in specific areas. Upon employment, most employees finish out their tenure with retirement here at Landmark.  With strong family values molding the company, employees are satisfied and treated as though they are family.  Landmark Construction would not consist of one of the best teams in the Southeast without the experienced management and staff employed today.
